Nintendo Switch

What is it?

The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid video game console developed by Nintendo. It can be used as a traditional home console connected to a TV or as a portable handheld device. Released in 2017, it features detachable controllers called Joy-Cons, which offer motion controls, HD rumble, and multiplayer capabilities. The Switch supports a wide variety of games, from major franchises like Zelda, Mario, and Pokémon to indie titles, and is known for its versatility and user-friendly design.

How does it work?

You can play it on your TV like a regular console, or you can take it with you and play it like a tablet with built-in controls. It has two little controllers on the sides called Joy-Cons — you can slide them off and use them separately, which is great for playing with a friend.

When you’re home, you can pop the Switch into its dock to play games on the big screen. Want to go somewhere? Just slide it out of the dock and take your game on the go — no pause needed! It’s super flexible and fun, and it works with all kinds of games, from big adventures to party games and relaxing puzzles.
