Tonieboxes

What is it? 

The Toniebox is a screen-free, audio player that encourages imagination building, creativity and cognitive skills. Stories, music and learning content are downloaded directly to the Toniebox at your library so all you have to do is take the kit home and turn it on to start the fun! No Wi-Fi is needed.

Each kit comes with 5 different Tonie figures with characters and stories from children’s books, Disney, Marvel and National Geographic. The Toniebox is designed with intuitive controls that little ones can use to foster independent play, as well as being huggable, durable and portable. How does it work?

Each Kit Contains:

  • 1 Toniebox
  • 1 Charging Station
  • 5 Tonie Figures
  • 1 Information Sheet
  • Toniebox Carrying Case

Instructions

  1. Pinch the Toniebox’s ears or connect it to the charger to wake it up
  2. Add a Tonie figure to the top of the box and it instantly starts to play
  3. Change tracks with a bump to the side of the box
  4. Adjust the volume using the Toniebox’s ears
  5. For quiet listening, plug in headphone or earbuds (not included)
  6. Remove the Tonie figure to stop playing or to change to a different Tonie
  7. When finished playing, the Toniebox will automatically shut off after 15 minutes

Things to Remember

  • Toniebox kits are stored in our locations behind our public service desks, please ask a library employee or place a hold to check one out
  • A Toniebox kit checks out for 3 weeks and may be renewed if it has no holds
  • SPL’s Tonieboxes are pre-loaded with the songs and stories on the five Tonie figures included in the kit. It is not necessary to connect the Toniebox to Wi-Fi for it to play
  • The Toniebox may need to be charged after check out. The charger is included in the kit. The Toniebox charges for 3 – 4 hours but it can be used during charging
