Suffolk Public Library, in partnership with Suffolk Public Schools, wants to help improve children's literacy rates in our community. Research shows that children learn best from books they actually enjoy reading. Together we bring you BOB!

Battle of the Books (BOB) is designed to motivate even the most reluctant readers to participate, work in teams and have a ton of FUN! It is a game show-style reading competition where questions encourage students to utilize close reading strategies, various comprehension skills and non-fiction supplementation to become better readers. The books include graphic novels, adventure, mystery and more!

All Suffolk fourth and fifth graders, public, private and homeschoolers, are welcome to join a team and compete.
