Battle of the Books
REGISTER TODAY! The last day to register is December 21st, 2025.
Suffolk Public Library in partnership with Suffolk Public Schools wants to help improve children's literacy rates in our community. Research shows that children learn best from books they actually enjoy reading. Together we bring you BOB!
Experience reading like never before with Battle of the Books (BOB)! This exciting, game-show-style competition turns books into an adventure where teams work together to explore stories, tackle questions and cheer each other on. Along the way, all students will build strong reading skills, grow their confidence, and — most importantly — have a ton of fun!
All Suffolk fourth and fifth graders are welcome (public, private, and homeschoolers) to join a team and compete. Teams of no more than five students are formed and encouraged to read and answer questions based upon five selected titles. We welcome teams formed by schools as well as individual students who would like to join a library organized team.
