Celebrate Pride with SPL:

Advocacy for Everyone [Kit]  |  June 12-17  |  Available at North Suffolk and Morgan Memorial locations: This advocacy 101 kit provides the tools and knowledge you need to raise awareness about the issues you are passionate about. These kits are for middle school ages through adults, and are available on a first come, first served basis!

Swapping Stories with Pride  |  June 24  |  10:30AM-12:30PM  |  Knott's Coffee Company: Celebrate Pride with queer stories! Bring a book by a queer author to swap for a new-to-you story or come chat with other book lovers. For ages 14 and up, everyone is welcome!

Suffolk Discovers: LGBTQ+ History of the United States with Michael Bronski  |  June 29  |  6:00-7:30PM  |  LIVE via Zoom: Learn about LGBTQ+ historical events in the US, such as Stonewall, with Michael Bronski, a Professor of the Practice in Media and Activism in Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality. This event is for adults, and registration is required!

Parking Lot Pride  |  June 30  |  5:00-8:00PM  |  North Suffolk Library: Our largest Pride event will have live music, local resources, open mics to share your stories, food trucks, and more! The full schedule of events will be posted closer to the date, so please check back! This event welcomes all ages, and no registration is required!

Rainbow Families Meetup Display with activities, books, and resources

Celebrating Pride Beyond June:

Rainbow Families  |  July 22 & August 5  |  10:00-11:00AM  |  North Suffolk Library: A monthly meetup for LGBTQ+ families with activities and crafts. Drop in anytime throughout the event, no registration required! Upcoming themes are DIY Ice Cream and Terrarium and Succulent Gardens.

Barbie Bash  |  July 21  |  7:00-8:30PM  |  Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts: Celebrate the opening night of Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie! Come dressed as your favorite character from the series, make your own accessories, and play party games like "Pin the Suit on Ken" and Barbie trivia for prizes. This event is for adults and no registration is required.
