Winter Reading Challenge
All The Feels: #WinterRead2023 #AllTheFeels
Let's show America how much Suffolk reads by reading together and building up our community through books!
Suffolk Public Library's annual Winter Reading Challenge runs from January 1st-31st, 2023.
Register or log in to Beanstack to participate and track your books read. Paper logs will be available for pickup at our North Suffolk and Morgan Memorial branches for those who do not wish to log electronically. Register your whole family! You can log the books you read your children and the books they read you! If you have a favorite for bedtime that you read every night or a story they just can't get enough of, you can log the same title multiple times. Each time you log it increases your chances to win!
Paper logs must be turned in by January 31st before locations close to be eligible.
We're asking our community to log 7,000 books read in the month of January. That sounds like a huge number but we know that Suffolk loves to read and have always risen to the occasion for reading challenges. We can do this together so log every book you read! Click here for a printable flyer and reading log!
To participate in the Winter Reading Challenge all you have to do is log the titles of the books you read using Beanstack and earn badges. Each badge you earn is like a raffle ticket. You can also earn entries with our Beanstack Bingo challenges! Each square earned acts like a raffle ticket. There will be grand prizes announced in early February. The more you read, the more chances you have to win! You can download or install the Beanstack app from your app store onto your phone. The app has a feature that let's you scan the barcode on each book to log the title in a snap! Click here for a printable reading log!
Participants earn a Registration Prize! Sign up and you will get an awesome emoji wristband!

Help Us Win!
This is our sixth annual Winter Reading Challenge in partnership with Beanstack. This year’s theme is “All The Feels.” Competing libraries have the chance to win wonderful cash prizes to recognize outstanding library participation in the Beanstack challenge. SPL has won several of these awards in the past! We want to keep Suffolk’s dedication to reading going strong. Help us keep our winning tradition alive by participating in the Winter Reading Challenge!
Remember the Winter Reading Challenge is only in the month of January. Register now on our website and get ready to log your reading for a chance to win cool prizes. Help us reach our goal of 7,000 books read across the city of Suffolk. We can do it!
